Engineering Topics

SolidWorks is the industry leading CAD system I use - highly recommended but probably out of the budget range of the casual user....

SolidCAM is a partner product for SolidWorks and is totally integrated into the CAD package.  An excellent piece of software that allows quick and easy translation from the virtual to real world....

J and L Industrial Supply offer a fantastic range of metalworking tool at good prices, and the service is superb.  I buy the majority of my tooling from them and their catalogue is a superb reference.

Landrovers.....

I have been afflicted with a number of Landrovers over the years and my company vehicle is a Landrover Discovery van.  I absolutely and totally refuse to take any responsibility for encouraging anyone to like Landys, but have a look at this page as a diversion.....

Dinghy Sailing....

The mental, physical and emotional challenge of dinghy racing has re-captured me.  I sail a National Solo dinghy at Spinnaker sailing club.  It's good clean fun and great company.
