Bickton Narrow Gauge have 3 miniature railway loco under construction. These are 'minimum gauge' tank engines engines to my own design. 3½” cylinders, Walschaerts valve gear and loco type boiler running at 140psi.
Built to a very high specification these locos are suitable for commercial use or large private estate railways.
No1 is a 7¼" gauge 0-4-2 and will be ready for delivery summer 2008. Price depends on final specification, starting at £24,500.
No 2 is also 7¼" gauge but built to a client's specification. The loco is 0-6-0 with 2 radiating axles giving a flexible driven wheelbase.
No 3 could be completed in either 7¼" gauge or 10¼" gauge. Delivery is planned for late 2008 Price depends on final specification, starting at £24,500 for 7¼" gauge while 10¼" gauge start at £27,250.
